Joe Scott - Selling is Like Dating. The Rules Are the Same

The 2016 Board of Directors is pleased to introduce our new Board member, Jim Gordon. Jim has been the owner of NorthStar Identity for fifteen years.

Jim was raised in the north suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis with a degree in Broadcast Management and a minor in Business Administration. He produced one of the top-rated radio talk shows in Chicago for 2 1/2 years at W.I.N.D. Radio.

Jim left his broadcasting career at the beginning of 1982 to join his father in the fast growing embroidery business. The business got its start by monogramming the inside lining of fur coats, and then grew to do all the monogramming for Spiegel Catalogs and Brooks Brothers. The company added some of the first computerized embroidery equipment to handle the growing promotional products industry. Jim and his dad worked together for 20 years until selling the business in 2001.

Jim started NorthStar Identity, after the sale of the embroidery business, and moved to Arizona in August, 2003.

He is married to his best friend and love of his life, Wendy, who is the Senior Manager of Child Life at Banner Thunderbird Hospital. They just celebrated their five- year anniversary.

Jim has 3 children from a previous marriage who are 24, 18 and 15, along with Wendy's daughter who is 24.

Jim loves to cook, fish, and his favorite activity is to go to the grocery store.
